HSOP is a dedicated animal shelter committed to providing compassionate care and support for pets and their families within the Parkersburg community. We strive to ensure every animal receives the love, attention, and medical attention they deserve through our adoption programs, spay/neuter services, and foster care initiatives. Our mission centers on improving the lives of animals while fostering a welcoming environment for both people and pets. We actively engage in community outreach and education to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. HSOP’s unwavering dedication to animal well-being is reflected in our significant impact – reaching 2,009 adoptions and providing vital services to over 5,535 animals each year. We are proud to offer a wide range of resources, including a Wish List, emergency services, and educational programs, all designed to support the wellbeing of animals in need.
