About Mountain Plains Kennel
Mountain Plains Kennel is a premier retriever training facility situated in the scenic northern reaches of South Dakota’s Black Hills. Nestled on 150 acres of meticulously groomed grounds with six technical ponds and two sources of running water, our program focuses intently on developing each individual dog's unique needs and capabilities, fostering successful partnerships between handlers and their canine companions. We specialize in a diverse range of retriever disciplines, including field trials, hunting tests, and hunting pursuits, ensuring that our dogs are optimally prepared for these demanding activities. Our 5200 sq ft indoor/outdoor facility provides an ideal environment for training, with a dedicated space for both obedience and advanced conditioning. We offer comprehensive retriever training, alongside specialized conditioning programs tailored to the upcoming hunting season. Serving the Rapid City, South Dakota area, as well as Casper, Gillette, Dickinson, Bismarck, Montana, Nebraska, and Colorado, we provide expert retriever gun dog training, Labrador Retriever breeding, and experienced retriever trainers.
