We will be closed on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 8AM. “COLBY’S SAFE AND SUNNY LABOR DAY” Colby, the black labradoodle, woke up excited - it was Labor Day once again, and his family was going to Codorus for a picnic! He wagged his tail and watched carefully as his humans packed sunscreen, bug spray, and a few big water bottles just for him and his roommates, Storm, the always energetic schipperke, and Fang, the crazy min- pin. Colby had his own job: Safety Pup in Charge. He wore his bright yellow vest so everyone could see him easily, and his little tag that said: "I'm Friendly - Please Ask Before Petting!" At Codorus, Colby stayed cool under the shade and drank water often. He even reminded the kids to reapply sunscreen by licking their legs when they forgot (that made everyone laugh).  When someone left a snack out in the sun too long and it looked like Storm was getting a bit too close to snatching it, Colby barked until it was properly thrown away - spoiled food was not allowed on his watch! When fireworks started in the distance, Colby wore his noise-canceling ear muffs and stayed close to his humans, feeling safe and snug. As the stars came out, Colby curled up on a blanket,  knowing he had kept everyone safe and smiling. “Good boy, Colby,” his humans whispered. "You made this the best- and safest - Labor Day ever!" Colby wagged his tail once, then snoozed happily.....just keeping one eyelid open to ensure Storm wasn't getting into too much trouble.....and oh yeah....where was Fang?  On a lap, of course....all safe and sound. THANK YOU for being a part of our “paw-some” Clearview Family! Here’s to a great 2025 and the start of another 50 years in our community! Doris LaFaver, DVM WE LOVE YOUR PETS! ...LABOR DAY: because even good boys need a day off!
