Fur Ever Paws, (a no kill rescue) is committed to saving the lives of dogs placed into high kill shelters from southern states. We believe every dog deserves the chance to live and be happy. And, with over 12 years of combined experience, our group of fosters is second to none in finding happy homes for all of our 4 legged friends. Our volunteers are compassionate, companion animal welfare advocates dedicated to contributing their time, skills, finances, and experience. In turn, their dedication helps save the lives of the abandoned, abused, homeless, neglected, orphaned, rejected, stray, and surrendered dogs in southern high kill shelters. Our Board Members and Volunteers are 100% VOLUNTEER and receive NO compensation. We are not a shelter in the sense that we are not positioned to accept dogs from the public. We select our dogs from high kill shelters in the southern states where healthy, adoptable dogs are destroyed every day simply because they have no home, no family, to call their own. A dog selected into our rescue program remains in our care until adopted. Only when we are able to secure the best match between dog and new caregiver(s) is the dog released from our program. We strongly believe in foster homes. A foster home provides the dog with a loving, safe environment and allows for behavioral observations & modifications, and training. Fostering creates the opportunity to see how the dog interacts with human family members and furry family members. Thank you again for visiting us... WE NEED FOSTERS Fur Ever Paws Dog Adoptions is looking for "full time" foster parents for our puppies and dogs. We also need temporary fosters. These fosters take a dog or puppy for the weekend while their regular foster is out of town. Or, they take a dog for the night between when he or she arrives from the shelter and when she gets adopted. Our short term and temporary fosters fill a critical need for our adorable dogs!
