About Greater New Haven Cat Project
The Greater New Haven Cat Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of stray, abandoned, and feral cats within the Greater New Haven area of Connecticut. Established in 1996, GNHCP has been actively involved in Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) programs, educational outreach, fostering feline companions, and promoting responsible pet ownership. GNHCP’s mission centers on ending the suffering of feral cats through TNR efforts while simultaneously educating the community about animal welfare and responsible pet stewardship. Through these initiatives, GNHCP provides low-cost spay/neuter services for tame cats and actively supports foster care programs, ensuring that every cat receives the necessary medical attention and loving environment. GNHCP’s commitment extends to providing virtual sponsorship opportunities, enabling individuals to directly support a chosen feline through donations and updates.
