About North Little Rock Animal Shelter
Animal Services – City of North Little Rock is dedicated to the well-being of both residents and animals within our community. Our mission centers on providing comprehensive care, preventative services, and a safe environment for all creatures. We operate two distinct departments: Animal Control, responsible for responding to animal welfare concerns and enforcing city ordinances, and the Animal Shelter, which provides adoption services and rehabilitates stray and unwanted animals. Animal Control serves an average of 500 service calls each month, ensuring the health and safety of our community’s pets. The Animal Shelter successfully reclaims an average of 600 pets annually through a rigorous program of spay/neuter initiatives and responsible pet ownership. We actively work to reduce feral and unwanted stray animal populations through targeted programs and diligent enforcement of city ordinances. Our goal is to create a thriving, healthy city where all residents can enjoy the benefits of a diverse and well-cared-for animal population.
